Protecting a Famous Restaurant's Brand from Counterfeiting

Several restaurants emerged with names and logos strikingly similar to our client's brand — an established Saudi restaurant chain. The counterfeiting confused customers and harmed the original brand's reputation.

We launched two fronts: criminal via a commercial fraud report, and civil to demand cessation of use and damages. We used mystery shopper evidence and photos from the infringing locations.

Six counterfeit restaurants ceased use of the mark, and a damages judgment was issued for our client. The case set a precedent cited by brand owners in the sector.
